The Saintonge bag pays homage to both Louis Vuitton’s storied heritage and iconic designs. The top handle is taken from the Pochette Metis bag, whereas its rectangular silhouette is borrowed from the camera pouch. Trimmed in luxurious calfskin leather, its waterproof monogram canvas was designed by the founder’s son Georges and first appeared on luggage in 1896. Nodding to the patterns found on the canvas, the branded plaque at the centre front is carved out of gold-toned hardware into a diamond and flourished with two tassels.
