HANDBAG BUYER - ROLE OVERVIEW: 
In your role as Buyer you will support the creation and execution of the merchandise assortment strategy: source, buy and deliver a specific range that meets our customers needs, knowing what our customers want, often before they do. You will be accountable for driving customer and subscriptions through effective Merchandise assortment, Site Merchandising and Planning. You must display excellent market and product knowledge, and along with a fantastic negotiation technique and the ability to build key supplier relationships. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

BUYING: 
Merchandise Assortment

  • Create monthly and seasonal product assortments using data to balance newness with core replenishment, all while maintaining our brand and product integrity
  • Develop, execute, and communicate financial merchandise plans and strategies to support company merchandising, marketing and financial objectives
  • Define the inventory targets to sustain subscriptions and maximize product availability for clients, while maintaining a lean on-hand assortment
  • Research and explore new trends in marketplace and category, monitor industry trends, and evaluate competition 


Site Merchandising
  • Manage SKU lifecycle from upload to delete
  • Responsible for all visual merchandising; ensuring that the relevant brand and categories are available and visible 
  • Assists in setting up all new product details and responsible for managing all categories 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new launches are properly setup in the ecommerce back-end
  • Maintain site assortment and communicate when SKUs need to be taken down

Planning
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to management and cross-functional team on a weekly basis
  • Develop annual projections for core product lines to relay to vendors

Vendor Management
  • Maintain positive day to day relationships with vendors, negotiating best rates and access to the best product 
  • Maintaining efficient flow of product in and out of the business, being responsible for product in as well as out of the business

  • You have proven experience in a similar role, with prior relationships that you bring with you 
  • You are a strong communicator with excellent verbal & written skills, as well as demonstrating excellent relationship management skills

ECOMMERCE PLATFORM MANAGER - ROLE OVERVIEW: 

In your role as Ecommerce Platform Manager, you will partner with the CEO & key stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class ecommerce strategy for the business across multiple devices. You will be an integral part in increasing customer conversation and driving sales, as well as developing strategies. You will ideally have experience in managing Shopify ecommerce platform, integrating third party apps, as well as a working knowledge of Javascript, HTML and CSS. You will be a great partner across the business and build a platform that takes into account the business needs. 

This is a great opportunity for a determined and technically savvy ecommerce professional, with a passion for luxury and the customer experience. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Take ownership of the ecommerce platform, configuration and setup; setting and delivering a best-in-class, highly visual and innovative product
  • Manage the roadmap: capture work from a wide range of inputs, understand and prioritise this work so the team is always working on the most impactful projects
  • Configuration of third-party modules and apps (e.g. a search solution or a shipping module)
  • Understand our business strategy and deliver product that reflects it 
  • Be responsible for any Data migration work
  • General platform back-end admin work
  • Documentation & process management eg. creating project planes, wireframes etc 
  • Reports & Administration: The acquisition and delivery of key online data and insight in weekly and monthly trade reports. 
  • Attend and learn from industry events to ensure that COCOON is up to date on the latest trends and innovations 

 Requirements:

  • At least 1 year in an eCommerce-focused role (either agency or in-house)
  • Experience with an eCommerce platform (ideally Magento, Shopify or BigCommerce)
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Team player who is willing to get their hands dirty
  • Experience of using Google Analytics
  • Excellent written English
  • Bonus points for technical candidates with some form of development background

PRESS OFFICER - ROLE OVERVIEW: 

In your role as Press Officer, you will partner with the CEO & key stakeholders to deliver the press and communications plan, with an initial focus on launching the COCOON brand. You will focus on delivering new and innovative ways to secure brand fame both in print and in the digital world, you will play a key part in planning and implementing our global PR strategy and activities supporting marketing initiatives.

Results driven, analytical and dynamic with your finger on the pulse, you will bring ideas to the table and turn these into mind blowing PR campaigns. This role will suit someone who is entrepreneurial and looking to grow with an exciting new start up. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute a dynamic press and earned media plan to support launches, special events and campaigns in building and driving visibility of COCOON
  • Manage and execute PR calendar to ensure a clear communications plan and message cadence
  • Build relationships with editors, key opinion leaders and publications, promoting the COCOON brand and manage reactive press requests
  • Develop written press materials – releases, talking points, story pitches, presentations etc 
  • Proactively pitch and secure media placements on an ongoing basis (print, web)
  • Collaborate with social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Collaborate with social media team to define influencer strategy, outreach plan and ongoing maintenance 
  • Develop innovative ideas and strategies to promote COCOON via feature stories, event coverage, product placement through print, digital and broadcast media
  • Manage the PR budget
  • Manage event planning process as and when needed 
  • Analyse all PR and events actions and create reports and insights to help inform future initiatives 

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with strong relationships and contacts that you bring with you 
  • Knowledgeable on both the UK media and fashion influencers 
  • As a brand ambassador, you will have the talent, energy and passion to help drive COCOON forward, communicating the brand story

INTERN - ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for a bright and energetic intern to join the COCOON family. Ideally you will be as passionate about the fashion and luxury industry as you are about working for a start-up. You are able to wear many hats  and keen to learn across the business. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated and a self-starter and keen to break into this exciting industry. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the buying team in managing spreadsheets, following up on buys and general administration 
  • Support the upload of product to the site, working across the ecommerce platform, photoshop and writing copy in word 
  • Support the Operations & Logistics team in the smooth flow of product in and out of the business
  • Support the social media team in doing research and general posting management 
  • Support the brand, pr & editorial functions on day to day projects  
  • Writing reports and administrative tasks as needed 

Requirements:

  • Passion for the luxury, fashion, start up, sustainability and tech spaces
  • A degree or relevant work experience in marketing, fashion or communications 
  • Basic photoshop and In-design skills 
  • Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite tools
